Bitcoin maybe I’ll try again break the long-awaited $100,000 per coin mark after a few close calls over the past day, but various altcoins are on the rise, including Dogecoin.
One of them is Dogecointhe seventh largest coin in terms of market capitalization. It hit $0.4126 on Friday afternoon, the highest level seen in over a week, with a daily gain of almost 7% at the current price of $0.4114. DOGE is now up almost 15% for the week.
The original meme piece had slow motion its run in recent days after a surge in price before and after Election Day, but DOGE is recovering. Dogecoin hit three-year high price about $0.43 at the beginning of last week.
However, other altcoins are doing better. At the top of the pack is XRP—its price has flown away since breaking news that Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Gary Gensler was stepping down as Wall Street’s top regulator in January.
The head of the financial supervisory body had makes war against the XRP project and its founders, who formed Ripple Labs, but the asset is now at its highest level in three years.
Now, the price of the asset stands at $1.47, after surging 31% over the past day. It is the best performing asset among the top 100 cryptocurrencies (ranked by market capitalization) over the past day.
Elsewhere, Stellar (XLM) is also experiencing a strong increase. The price of the part is currently up 28% in the last 24 hours and is priced above $0.30.
And Cardano (ADA) the price has also increased: it is I’m negotiating now for over $0.97 after a 22% price increase today. The coin, the ninth largest digital asset by market capitalization, was also in the SEC’s crosshairs during Gensler’s tenure.
Other assets experiencing a price surge include Algorand And Avalanche. They both made double-digit gains, with The price of ALGO up 18% to $0.24, and Avalanche-Or AVAX– increasing 11% in one day to $39.
It’s worth nothing that all of these alts are still significantly below their previous all-time highs, some as much as 90%.
