Another day, another batch of fresh chips making their way on Coinbase roadmap. This time, the exchange based in the United States has added three new cryptocurrencies to the mix: Morpho (Morpho), the grassin penguins (Pengu) and Popcat (Popcat).
An inclusion of the roadmap, as always, does not guarantee a complete list, but it gives merchants an idea of what could be the next one. More transparency, less surprises – at least in theory.
Who had the blow?
The coins refuse to fade, and Jamming knows it. Popcat and Pengu? Both are strongly looking at internet culture. Popcat is inspired by an image of a cat named oatmeal, which has become a viral phenomenon in 2020.
From changes to Instagram music to online clicker games, the same refused to die and, finally, he found his way in the crypto. There is no complex technology behind it – just community enthusiasm fueling its existence.
Grassinian penguins (Pengu) operate on Solana as a community token, but its scope goes beyond the blockchain. The NFT collection based in Ethereum of 8,888 unique and random penguins has built a brand around itself. From digital collectibles to real world products such as fatty toys and even the fatty world, this project makes movements beyond the cryptographic bubble.
Morpho (Morpho) is another story. Unlike memes choices, it is entirely about Defi. It is a non -guardian loan protocol that optimizes borrowing and loan processes on Aave and Compound.
Instead of traditional loans based on the pool, Morpho corresponds directly to lenders and borrowers, which makes transactions more effective. Less propagation, better rates, more efficiency of capital.

Then there is the reaction of the market – predictable, but always intriguing. After the announcement, prices have evolved. Popcat jumped 25%, up to its name. Morpho experienced an increase of 8%. The pingu has followed suit with a similar gain. The merchants who arrived early? They are probably satisfied.
