Ahead of his inauguration scheduled for January 20, US President-elect Donald Trump launched his cryptocurrency, $Trump.
Mr. Trump announced the launch of $Trump, a Solano-based coin, in a social media post on Friday.
“My new official Trump Meme is here! It’s time to celebrate everything we stand for: winning! Join my very special Trump community. Get your $Trump now. Go to gettrumpmemes.com” Mr. Trump wrote, posting his iconic photo charging his supporter to “fight” after escaping assassination while campaigning in Pennsylvania, Butler.
$Trump has exploded since this announcement, reaching a market capitalization of $8 billion in less than three hours after its launch.
