As market volatility intensifies, Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has expressed his opposition to the popular call to “sell everything.”
User X “The Don Landoni” sparked the conversation when he proclaimed that the crypto market is doomed. “We are all going to die” he tweeted, urging stakeholders to “sell everything” while they still can.
This feeling came at a time when The price of Bitcoin had fallen to $91,220 Thursday evening. This decline notably follows three consecutive days of decline, during which Bitcoin lost 11.18% of its value.
Bitcoin’s decline has had a significant impact on the broader crypto market, particularly the coin segment, where Shiba Inu dominates. Specifically, SHIB fell 16.72% from $0.00002458 to almost losing the $0.00002 region.
In light of market uncertainty, Landoni urged participants to sell their holdings while they can, instead of following the usual advice to “buy the dip.”
Shiba Inu manager disagrees
However, Shiba Inu’s lead developer disagreed with this sentiment. Kusama replied “No” to the call for help with a humorous GIF. Essentially, Kusama rejected the idea of selling his crypto assets out of fear of “death” or market collapse.
Notably, the Shiba Inu ecosystem is currently in the process of launching its latest ecosystem token, TO TREAT. Kusama stressed the importance of taking a long-term perspective and overlooking short-term price fluctuations.
Building the Shiba Inu to its full potential: patience and precision
Consistent with his rejection of short-term thinking, Kusama stressed that building innovative decentralized systems like Shiba Inu requires time, precision and careful planning.
He acknowledged delays in the development of key components, including metaverse and AI integrations. However, he reiterated that such complexity requires patience.
Kusama highlighted the Shiba Inu’s modular design, known as “36 chambers,” which allows users to selectively use different components to suit their needs. This system addresses the challenges often encountered by decentralized systems that lack a coherent structure.
By presenting a flexible framework, Shiba Inu could bridge the gap between Web 2.0 and Web 3.0. Kusama is confident that the careful design of the platform will ensure its long-term success.
