Metamask co-founder Dan Finlay launched a new token named Consent on Solana and Base, which focuses on user consent and autonomy.
The Consent token ($CONSENT) was conceptualized by Finlay on Clanker on Farcaster promoting user consent in the age of artificial intelligence. The token falls under memecoins and addresses intellectual property rights and “consent to share and train AI”. Finlay describes the token as a framework for “ambiguous consent” in the blockchain and Internet 3 ecosystem.
Although the consent token is available in Solana and Baseusers trade the token more on Solana than on Base. Solana is also experiencing a higher market value for consent than for base, with a volume of $50.01.01 in the last 5 hours since the token’s launch. Looking at the bonding curve, it is quite evident that there is a steady increase in the adoption of the token on the Solana chain.
Additionally, the token’s liquidity pool has been set up on the Raydium Liquidity Poolwhich will improve the visibility and usability of the token in the Solana ecosystem.
Finlay didn’t stop at the token launch, but actively engages with his audience on Warpcast by drawing comparisons between Warpcast and Solana. memecoin experiences, hinting at a competitive narrative.

THE co-founder The launch of Consent also opened discussions about the many challenges and opportunities associated with different platforms. He expressed support for Pump.fun while expressing concerns about Clanker, a meme distribution platform on the Base ecosystem.
In a recent article on Farcaster, Finlay drew attention to the blockchain community about the risk of being “forward-thinking and robust” on the Clanker platform. It refers to how certain individuals could manipulate the system for their own benefit, thereby posing a threat to new projects and to early supporters suffering losses.
On the other hand, he mentioned how Pump.fun provides a more reliable model since the developer is the founding member. He also observed that crowdfunding through Clanker is almost impossible due to its vulnerabilities.
