Elon Musk issues ‘meme alert’
Tesla CEO Elon Musk posted a meme about aliens coming to Earth with one goal: “They want our memes!” Musk expressed this in the tweet accompanying the image he posted.
The text on the image says: “Citizens of Earth. Give us your memes.
The community responded eagerly, posting memes for “aliens.” Many of them contained information about Dogecoin. The official account of the leading US-based cryptocurrency exchange Kraken also posted a response saying: “There is no meme. Only Bitcoin. In April 2021, this article, along with Musk’s hosting of Saturday Night Live, pushed the price of Dogecoin to an all-time high of $0.70. This time, many believe the tech billionaire was hinting at his new idea, DOGE, or the US Department of Government Effectiveness, which he is now leading to cut major government spending.
This week, Dogecoin demonstrated an increase of approximately 16.8% in a single day, reaching a local high of $0.41361.
